Discription
Tsuyu is one of the most handy ingredients to have in any Japanese pantry, as it is essentially three of the most important seasonings in Japanese cuisine rolled into one. A combination of dashi for umami, soy sauce for saltiness (and a little extra umami), and mirin rice wine for sweetness, a bottle of tsuyu is often all you need to bring Japanese flavour to a wide variety of dishes.
